ACROSS CALIFORNIA — Brunches have become increasingly popular in recent years, with over 1.2 million TikTok posts tagged “#brunch.” With so many brunch spots across the country, which one is the most popular?
To find out, the entertainment site JackpotCity gathered a seed list of 124 popular U.S. brunch hotspots and analyzed Instagram and Google search volume data. The site found that Malibu Farm in Malibu is the most popular U.S. brunch spot, with 55,866 Instagram posts tagged “#malibufarm.”
Malibu Farm is well-known for its breathtaking ocean views from Malibu Pier and its menu featuring organic produce.
Another California brunch spot, the authentic Mexican restaurant El Buen Comer in San Francisco, was the second most popular, with over 33,500 Instagram posts tagged “#elbuencomer.”

In third place with 33,688 Instagram posts was New York City’s Tavern on the Green, a Central Park landmark.
Proud Mary Coffee in Portland took fourth place, with 15,486 posts tagged “#proudmarycoffee.”
Rounding off the top five was Halls Chophouse in Charleston, South Carolina, with 12,615 posts overall.
Hidden Gem Brunch Spots
Brunch 101 in Hoquiam, Washington, was the country’s top “hidden gem” brunch spot. The restaurant exclusively serves breakfast and brunch, yet it had only one Instagram tag.
Next on the “hidden gem” list was Irene’s, a fine-dining restaurant in Chicago, Illinois, with only two posts. The eatery serves breakfast classics, including waffles, pancakes, and benedicts.
Butters Pancakes & Café Hayden Road in Scottsdale, Arizona, came in third place, with three posts overall.
The Dutch in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania took fourth place overall with four posts.
Most Brunch-Obsessed States
JPC also looked into the number of Google searches in each state to see which state is the most “brunch-obsessed.” Google Keyword Planner revealed people in California, New York and Texas are leading the brunch craze. All three states had 201,000 monthly searches for “brunch near me,” making it a three-way tie.
Florida followed in second place with 135,000 monthly searches, while Georgia and Illinois tied for third with 74,000 searches each.
