Ahead of what is expected to be his return to AEW this summer, CM Punk had his planned meeting with Chris Jericho this past Friday.
PWTorch's Wade Keller first reported the news with Dave Meltzer later confirming.
While details are still light as of now, Keller first reported the meeting took place in Florida and "the meeting was said to have gone well."
Fightful reported Wednesday that "the meeting was relatively uneventful all things considered and especially when taken into consideration the issues the two have had."
Two weeks ago, they had previously reported that Punk was set to meet with Jericho.
Punk was in Florida doing MMA commentary work and ended up flying home on a plane that also included several WWE wrestlers and staff. Punk appeared backstage at Raw Monday and was asked to leave after nearly 30 minutes talking in brief conversations with Paul Levesque, The Miz, and others.
Punk has been on hiatus from AEW following the events of last September's All Out where he got into a backstage fight with the Young Bucks & Kenny Omega which followed him tearing his triceps in his AEW World title-winning match with Jon Moxley.
In May, Punk referred to Jericho as "a stooge" in a deleted Instagram post in the fallout of a story regarding the Moxley storyline heading into All Out.
In recent months, there has been increased reports of Punk returning to the company — intensifying over the past few weeks. He is expected to lead a new Saturday AEW TV show on TNT called Collision starting this June that will see split crews between Dynamite and the new show.
