CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Park District is hosting a Barbie-themed father-daughter date night this spring.
The date night will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24 at Grand Oaks, 1401 W. Route 176 in Crystal Lake, according to the Crystal Lake Park District. The event will run from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tickets for the Saturday night event have sold out and there are a couple spots still available for Friday night, Jenny Leech, marketing manager for the Crystal Lake Park District, told Patch this past week.
Daughters are encouraged to”bring your Ken-guardian” and dress in your best formal Barbie pink and “dance the night away.” There will be crafts and desserts.
The cost is $25 per person for residents, $35 per person for non-residents.
Leech said Crystal Lake Park District recreation supervisor Emma Koenig is in charge of special events and comes up with the fun ideas for the perfect “dad date night.”
