On Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Damian Priest spoke about Rhea Ripley’s SmackDown Women’s title win at WrestleMania 39:Yeah, the homie Rhea. Obviously, everybody knows that we became friends in NXT and we've stayed close ever since. She's like my little sister. [I'm] so happy and proud. I legit got a little emotional last night [at Mania] just seeing how hard she's worked. She's been through a lot. Being away from home, away from her family.A lot of us sacrifice but not to that level. Her family's literally on the other side of the planet. It goes years without seeing them. For somebody who grew up very close-knit with their family, that's hard. But she muscles through, literally, and keeps working hard. [She] never stopped striving for more and it's really gratifying on my end to witness it, to be a part of it, and sharing that enjoyment that she's feeling right now. So proud of her.Priest also discussed Dominik Mysterio being a star:Yeah, Dom. He went from being a star with Rey, a star in the Judgment Day, to being his own star. It's Dominik Mysterio now. He's his own thing. Just like Rhea it's awesome to be a part of it. [Being] right there. I'm seeing this first-hand. I'm watching him from this distance, just glow and just do his thing. When he's in the ring and holding the ring with a mic and the crowd's going nuts, I can't help but smile in the background.Ripley and Gunther were guests on WWE’s The Bump this afternoon.Natalya reached 15 years on the WWE main roster on April 3: “Today marks my 15 years on the WWE main roster. 15 years of doing what I love, in front of the audience I love doing it for. I learned early that real legacy isn’t counting what you got from the business, it’s knowing what you put back in—and I’ve been blessed ever since.”William Regal tweeted about the passing of British promoter Max Crabtree: “Not on here much. I’m deeply saddened to hear of both British Promotor Max Crabtree who gave me my first run in a major company at 18 and always took the time to teach me. And very saddened to hear of the passing of top entertainer Paul O’Grady. Rest well.x”Charlotte Flair (37) and Dominik Mysterio (26) are both celebrating birthdays today.Popculture.com interviewed Big E.WWE uploaded a behind-the-scenes video from WrestleMania 39.
Chavo Guerrero tweeted in support of his cousin Sherilyn Guerrero after Sherilyn made a TikTok video alleging that she was sexually assaulted by her stepfather on a cruise in 2020. Sherilyn accused her mother Vickie Guerrero of abandoning her after the assault. Chavo wrote: “Just to let everyone know, I fully support my cousin, Sherilyn Guerrero, Eddie’s daughter & have been doing so privately in the last couple years of her struggles. She is a very strong woman for coming forward with the sexual assault she has suffered. I Love You Prima!”Vickie Guerrero responded to Sherilyn’s allegations via an Instagram post.Sports Illustrated asked Tony Khan about AEW potentially having its own signature multi-day event similar to WrestleMania: “We could do one event spanning a weekend and we could also do multiple events across a week. It’s something we’re considering, especially as we keep entering so many new debut markets. We’re looking forward to expanding and holding more huge events.”Kris Statlander wrote on Instagram:If younger me could see me now. My biggest regret is letting my self hatred for so many years stop me from making memories. I’ve got no pictures from years in my life where I was at my lowest. I didn’t want to remember those years, but it’s all a part of journey to get to where we need to be I guess. It feels so cheesy to say wrestling saved my life, but it gave me a purpose. It gave me something worth living for. Something I wanted to be better at, could get better at, and didn’t want to give up on, like I wanted to give up on myself so many times. But here I am, two blown out knees later and I wouldn’t change a thing. I may not be back yet, but I’m giving it my all and more to get there. Okay I’m never making a deep emotional post ever again after this.Britt Baker and Saraya made appearances on Busted Open Radio today.Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy, Willow Nightingale, and RJ City were guests on The Best Show with Tom Scharpling.NJPW president Takami Ohbari noted that the amount of international fans attending NJPW shows has been increasing rapidly: “In the venue, the number of international fans has been increasing rapidly.
