DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin City Council is hosting a community meeting Tuesday to discuss the Hexcel Redevelopment Project, which proposes demolishing the 62,175-square-foot former Hexcel research and development building on an 8.8-acre site along 11711 Dublin Boulevard and replacing it with a new 125,532-square-foot light industrial building for advanced manufacturing and life science research, with 217 parking stalls and related site improvements.
The project was first presented to the Dublin City Council in March by Overton Moore Properties. The council recommended a number of improvements to the plan, including the overall project design, compatibility with the Dublin Village Historic Area Specific Plan, a landscape buffer to adjacent properties, and then decided to postpone the decision to an unspecified date so the applicant could make the necessary changes.
