Come 2022 and Japanese fans are still at it.
They left football fans around the world stunned once more by clearing all the garbage from the Al Bayt stadium after the opening game between Qatar and Ecuador.
Japan were not even playing.

An Influencer from Bahrain, Omar Al-Farooq, filmed and shared it on Instagram.
When he asked, ‘why are you doing this?’, a Japanese fan replied: “We are Japanese, and we do not leave rubbish behind us, and we respect the place.”
