SECAUCUS, NJ — On Sunday, Dec. 17 Harmon Cove resident Brenda Green invites Secaucus kids to join her in her seventh annual Kids Blessing Bag Project.
At 11 a.m., families are invited to meet at the Harmon Cove Clubhouse to create “blessing bags,” which are filled with essential items for the homeless and people staying in shelters.
Green is looking for people or companies to donate items to put in the bags. If you want to donate, sponsor or attend, fill out the form here: https://form.jotform.com/fit4a…
Green is the founder of the Kids Blessing Bag project, and she said she started doing it to teach her daughter, who was 5 at the time, the importance of giving back. Seven years later, she said the Kids Blessing Bag Project has donated 476 bags to those in need.
“We believe that every child has the potential to make a positive impact in their community,” said Green. “Our event on December 17 is a perfect opportunity for children to learn about the power of generosity.”
