— After months of uncertainty, Killer Kross has been released from his Impact Wrestling contract as per a statement on the promotion’s website that simply read as follows:
IMPACT Wrestling has come to terms on the release of Kevin Kesar (Killer Kross).
— Kross and Impact have been at a standoff since the spring when Kross requested his release. The company did not grant it though they haven’t used him since July after he lost a match to Eddie Edwards at Slammiversary. Kross’ contract was reported to be expiring at the end of this month anyway though there was a company option to tack on another year.
— With Kross now a free agent, attention naturally turns to WWE as he would be someone that they would be interested (and no doubt several other promotions as well). Furthermore, WWE has recently added Scarlett Bordeaux to their roster and Bordeaux and Kross are currently in a relationship.
