It looks like WWE’s Women’s division has lost, or will soon be losing one of its’ top stars.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter at F4WOnline.com that Paige has retained legal representation with the intentions of not returning to WWE.
Paige, who is under contract to WWE until 2019, is currently serving a 30-day mandatory suspension for her recent WWE Wellness Policy violation. Additionally, she has been dealing with injuries and other issues with WWE.
According to MMA source Front Row Brian, who has also broken a number of pro wrestling stories in the past, Paige has quit WWE.
“BREAKING: Paige quit WWE this week and has hired legal representation,” he wrote on Twitter, backing up and expanding on the aforementioned Meltzer report.
He added in a follow-up tweet, “Issue with Paige is she has a contract with WWE that extends out several years. That’s the major point of contention.”
