Pour Azadeh Kian, professeure de sociologie franco-iranienne à l’Université Paris-Cité et invitée de franceinfo mardi 18 juillet, “le régime a peur de déclencher à nouveau des manifestations”, dix mois après la mort de Mahsa Amini, tuée lors d’un contrôle de cette police des mœurs de Téhéran le 16 septembre 2022.

franceinfo : La police des mœurs en Iran affirme à nouveau contrôler les femmes dans le pays qui ne portent pas le voile. Comment cette annonce a été accueillie en Iran ?
Azadeh Kian : Il faut dire que le régime a peur de la réaction de la population, en particulier les femmes et celles qui ne portent pas le voile. Cette police ne s’appelle plus “police des mœurs” mais la “police pour faire respecter les préceptes vestimentaires”. Leurs camionnettes n’ont plus de logo. Et pour l’instant, les policiers ont reçu l’ordre d’être plutôt pédagogique et de ne pas violenter les femmes. Tout ça parce que le régime a peur de déclencher à nouveau des manifestations comme on en a vu en septembre 2022.
Ce grand mouvement de contestation né après la mort de Mahsa Amini qui a été violemment réprimé, avec des centaines de morts. Quel bilan vous en faites ? Est-ce qu’aujourd’hui, on ne reviendra pas en arrière ?
On ne reviendra pas en arrière comme le disent toujours ces femmes qui résistent. Cette révolution en cours a déjà eu des acquis. Par exemple, le fait que sans égalité entre les hommes et les femmes, ou entre les minorités et la majorité ethnique et religieuse, on ne pourra pas penser à la démocratie. Pour la première fois aussi, les hommes ont pris la défense des femmes quand elles ont été violentées dans la rue par les polices ou les miliciens.
Même si le régime reste en place, il est très fragilisé et on voit tous les jours des dissensions de plus en plus grandes aussi au sein du pouvoir.
