TARRYTOWN, NY — Rubber Ducky Derby Day in Tarrytown is almost here again.
The annual fundraising event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Duck racing in heats will be every half hour starting at 11:30 a.m.
Rubber Ducky Derby Day is held in conjunction with the YMCA’s Healthy Kid’s Day.
In addition to the duck races, there will be bouncy castles and slides, food and music.
“Truly something for everyone,” Larah Alami, a member of the Rotary and president-elect of the organization, told Patch.

She said a yellow rubber ducky can be “adopted” for $10. Also available are a “six-quack” for $50 or a tub of 13 ducks for $100.
The rubber duckies will race down Andres Brook in Patriot’s Park in Tarrytown.
The duckies can be adopted online through Thursday, April 27 or purchased at the event.
Alami said the money raised stays in the community in the form of grants and scholarships.
“Groups and students from local schools are invited to apply for grants and scholarships on a yearly basis,” she said, “so the money raised truly does go right into the hands of people who need it most in our towns.”
