Italian jeans brand Diesel and Turkish denim specialist ISKO have come
together to work on a new denim shoe line for the fall/winter 2015 season,
which is made up of the three sub-lines Metropoliss, Magnete Low and
Magnete Mid.
“Diesel is a great partner for us: its distinctive style is perfectly
aligned with the innovative spirit of our fabrics. Fashion and a deep
understanding of technology; this is the secret formula of this shoes
collection,” commented Marco Lucietti, ISKO’s global marketing director,
on the new project.
This is the second collaboration of the two denim companies who had
earlier partnered on Jogg Jeans, a “revolutionary ‘jeanetically modified
denim’ that combines iconic jeans fashion with the comfort typically
associated with jogging pants” according to ISKO.
The new Diesel shoe is using ISKO’s Scratch & Jean fabric, a 3D denim
that is created with ISKO‘s patented technology that combines innovation
with a hand-crafted, vintage look. “ISKO Scratch’N’Jean is designed for
wearers to use a scraping technique to enhance the fabric with artistic and
textural effects, creating striking, personalised garments with endless
style,” said the denim specialist in a press release.
